If you asked me after the first week of college football would I be worried about the Egg Bowl I'd say no, but here we are. It's no secret that Ole Miss is not a good team between injuries and poor second half play we've squandered a season that should have been another competition for the SEC west. All we can do now is hope our young guys can carry this lesson to next year and the seniors can go out with a bowl win which brings us to the game. State stinks all around bad team. They have no defense and their offense struggles against real teams. The bad news is our defense stinks too and our Offense has been struggling since the loss of Chad Kelly. A bad Vanderbilt loss and a close Texas A&M game haven't painted the full picture of Shae but given us glimpses of what he can do so now we return home to fight for the glorious Golden Egg. The Rebs play inspired football when they're at home so I like our odds to keep this one out of reach for State. Defense needs to be sharp and not give them any hope while the Shae led passing game needs to be firing on all cylinders and score early and often. We cannot afford the level of play we had during Vanderbilt which means our big guns like Evan Engram and Stringfellow need to step up. All and all it'll be a fun game for the Rebels and with any luck we'll get to see a hero emerge in Eugene Brazley Hotty Toddy.
